Sufferlandrians, welcome to the Navigation section of the Sufferfest Training Center. We will cover the basics of each page within our Windows App. The very first page you will see is the Menu Of Suffering we have to offer. Within the Video page, you can search for videos, scroll through videos, or sort them by SPORT, TYPE, DURATION, OR COMPLETED.
On the right hand side of each video you have the workout graph. The target line on the graph represents your FTP. There specific details to the workout and how the Intervals break out with each workout. You can also watch a preview of each video before you decide to complete it. However, not all videos have preview. Specifically, the MASHUP videos.
The Next page we will look at is our Passport Page. Within the passport page is your history of suffering. This allows you the opportunity to display your love of PAIN, MISERY, and AGONY to all of your friends. To the Left is our workout history. Each video you have completed will be listed to the left along with the corresponding date of completion and how many times you have done a video.
Once you click on one of your videos, you will see a list of videos that have been completed and a quick summary of workout information. So, what is the deal with all of those numbers and acronym's in my workout data? Please read the article What The Heck is FTP, TSS, IF and LTHR to find out more information.
CLOSER VIEW OF YOUR INDIVIDUAL WORKOUT HISTORY
Now that we have clicked on one of our workouts, you can see even more information about your Suffering. We can scroll up and down within this page to see our personal bests at the bottom. We can take the extra time to micro-analyze our suffering experience and see if we lived up to the name Speed Demon of Sufferlandria. Lastly, we can Discard (too couchlandrian), Share (gloat about our suffering), or Ride the workout again with the menu at the top.
CLOSER VIEW OF WORKOUT DATA
That is everything we could ever want in our Sufferlandrian Passport. However, I have heard rumors of more things coming in the future. Grunter Von Agony has plans for a 4th page coming this Fall. It may even have a Couchlandrian Detector! Now that we understand our Passport Page let's take a look at the Settings Page.
The settings page is very important to ensure that you are recording accurate data. The most important part of the settings page is the FTP and LTHR settings. Those two settings will drive your workout zones and intensities while doing a Sufferfest workout. If you are using Virtual Watts with your trainer and speed sensor, then you must ensure your Wheel Size is set correctly. Currently, Wheel Size will dictate your speed which will result in a distance recorded by the Sufferfest Training Centre. Putting in the wrong wheel size will have an effect on distance reporting when sharing your workout. There is no need to worry about wheel size for smart trainers or power meters at this time.
The next section in our settings page is connections. We can share all of our Suffering Data with the rest of the world. This allows us to taunt our couchlandrian friends over and over again through Strava, Training Peaks, and email.
The last part of the settings page is the subscription. You can determine if your subscription is still valid at the bottom. If you are having issues with the Subscription saying INACTIVE, then simply log out and log back in for the server to update the App. By simply clicking on Manage Subscription, the App will take you to our webpage where you can log in, update your information, or change out your credit card information if some couchlandrian stole your info to buy dozens of donuts. I hate when they do that!
Okay, that's all done, but when do I get to Suffer! Very soon, Very soon! The next article will show you how to connect your sensors and Starting A Sufferfest Workout.
